Location & History of Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills
The 5-star Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills is located 17 km away from Downtown Los Angeles. It’s on Doheny Drive, a 7-minute drive to Rodeo Drive shops and just about 30 minutes to the LA sightseeings like Hollywood Walk of Fame or Santa Monica Beach. Though the hotel’s location is very centered, the residential neighborhood is private and calm, so you’ll find there secluded surroundings and less street noise. Valet parking service is paid and highly recommended.

The hotel itself is a beautiful property surrounded by greenery, with a glamorous vibe. It does not have such a famous and long history as its neighbors Beverly Wilshire or other Beverly Hills hotels. It was opened in April 1987 and since then has kept its Old Hollywood fleur, mixed with its modern European style design and contemporary furnishings. The architect of the 16-stories building was a talented Californian Gin Dan Wong who developed the face of the LA environment: he also built numerous buildings in Southern California and particularly at Beverly Hills. His works were known for blending modern technologies with comfortable design.

Nowadays, the hotel is especially popular during awards seasons and also among newlyweds who wish to celebrate their big day in authentic Hollywood scenery. At the Four Seasons Hotel Beverly Hills, you’ll find the great relaxed-luxury vibe that will be a perfect match with an elegant or super-chic wedding. The hotel has all the facilities to host your celebration, from arrivals to the reception entertainment.

Event sites for your wedding at Four Seasons Beverly Hills Hotel
On the official webpage of the hotel, there are about 16 event areas, so you’ll really have to choose from. Most of them are indoor spaces with a capacity of about 250 persons. The couple in the pictures chose the garden area, the Wetherly Gardens, for the ceremony, and the big Ballroom on the ground floor for the reception.
- The area of the Wetherly Gardens is a large outdoor site, perfect for cocktail parties or ceremonies. It’s ringed by mature trees and walls of greenery, shaded and secluded at the same time. If desired, the staff will bring a tent and transform the space into the Wetherly Pavilion.
- The Ballroom, the indoor site next to the lobby, is expansive and chic. Giant windows let plenty of light in. It’s directly connected to the Wetherly Garden and another room, the Orchid, and ideal for lavish wedding receptions on a big scale.

Bridal and Groom’s Dressing areas at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills
In the photos, the bride and groom got prepared in different hotel rooms. There are 285 rooms, among them 100 suites. Usually, the newlyweds who book the wedding package get the comped suite on their wedding day and on the one-year anniversary. However, I don’t know if it is still included in the wedding package or not, so you’d better contact the hotel directly to get more details.

The suite where the bride in the photos got prepared was comfortable and spacious enough to accommodate all her relatives and bridesmaids. The overall design is rather restrained than flashy, luxurious. With nice floral touches, it’s great as a backdrop for getting ready shots. Nice perks are large bathrooms with quality toiletries and free Wi-Fi in the room. Yet the best advantage of the room I suppose is the balcony: if your suite is on the upper floor, you’ll enjoy the grandiose views of the Hollywood Hills and Downtown LA. (Moreover, some rooms even have gold binoculars). From the balcony, we also took some bird’s eye view shots of the ceremony site.

First Look & Couple Shots at Four Seasons Hotel LA at Beverly Hills
The bride wished to do two First Looks: one with her groom and another with her father. We didn’t go far from the suite and did the First Look next to the rooms in the beautiful interiors of the hotel. These were a nice backdrop for the photos looking luxurious yet not opulent in the pictures and matching with the soft-colored wedding attires of the newlyweds.

You can choose another place for your First Look. Common outdoor spaces of the hotel will also be a great choice. Because of the sunny California climate most of the indoor spaces are open-aired, even partly.
And surely, the best spot for breathtaking pictures is at the rooftop of the hotel. We went up there twice: at first, before the ceremony, and later after dusk, each time capturing grandiose views of Beverly Hills. In the afternoon, you’ll see for miles around Downtown LA. After dusk, the lights of night LA add sparkles to the pictures. These photos at the rooftop will be the highlight of your wedding album.

Wedding Party & Family Photos at the Four Seasons Hotel LA at Beverly Hills
The hotel has 16 stories, two big restaurants, and numerous meeting and ballrooms, so you’ll have spots for photography in abundance. Guests already at the hotel entrance can take some interesting shots with a life-size Marilyn Monroe statue. It reminds of press junkets and pre-awards ceremony preparations which the hotel hosts during the award season.
Also, the marbled lobby of the hotel is in itself a great place for photo shooting: entering the space, you immediately see the stunning centerpiece of bright colored flowers and feel their aroma. These impressive floral displays are created by a famous American designer and florist Jeff Leatham.

The interior of the hotel is a great backdrop, as well. As I‘ve already mentioned, the bride and groom did their First Look next to their suite. However, the hotel cares about the guests’ privacy, so be aware that not all corners may be photographed.
You can take big group shots before the ceremony in the Wetherly Gardens: there is enough space next to a pool with a small fountain. The place is surrounded by greenery and is well-shaded in the afternoon.
Ceremony of your Four Seasons Beverly Hills wedding
The Wetherly Gardens area hosts about 180 persons for the ceremony. It’s an elongated courtyard, surrounded by palm trees and flowers. For the ceremony, the bride can book the wedding bouquet by famous florists like Jeff Leatham or others.

The bride enters the garden from the main building walking down the aisle to the ceremony spot tucked in greenery. In hot summer months, the spot is perfectly shaded and feels secluded, protected from the street noise and unexpected visitors.
In the pictures you see, the ceremony spot was decorated with numerous white flowers and was represented not by the arch but by the stage with a sofa, typical for Middle Eastern ceremonies. Both bride and groom are from Guyana, South America, and both Muslims. They decided on a religious ceremony by Islamic way, yet they didn’t incorporate lots of traditions. They just added some national touches like having live steel pan play at the cocktail hour and playing traditional music (soca, chutney, and reggae) during the reception.

The hotel transforms the outdoor ceremony spot during the cold-weather months, from late October to late March: it offers the Wetherly Pavilion, a tented event space in the Wetherly Garden location. The Pavilion is great for weddings, cocktail receptions, or dinners with 100 to 250 guests.
Reception of your Four Seasons Beverly Hills wedding
The biggest reception space at the hotel is the Ballroom, with an occupancy of 250 seated guests. This room is very transformable and matches almost every theme you’ll choose for your reception: just look at different layouts of other couples on the official Facebook page of the hotel for your inspiration.

The reception theme you’re seeing in the photos was in soft golden tones including all the details. The massive mirrors open up the room and give the illusion of additional space. Giant windows letting lots of light and crystal chandeliers add to the luxurious atmosphere. The sweetheart table was the highlight of the room, located on the stage lavishly decorated with white flowers. The wedding cake was also placed in the ballroom, as well as the dance floor. So, the Ballroom is really spacious and great for an elegant classic reception, for a romantic dinner, or for the glamorous extravaganza performance.
