Location & Story of Huntington Bay Club
The Huntington Bay Club is located in the Californian city Huntington Beach southeast of Los Angeles. in Orange County. The venue is very close to Huntington City Beach, with its long Huntington Beach Pier, John Wayne airport, as well as to Pacific Coast Highway and the 405 freeway.

The Club has its own private small beach in the middle of the Huntington Beach Harbour, a minute drive away from the Harbour Mall. The couples come here to celebrate their wedding with a coastal vibe surrounded by panoramic marina views. The guests and visitors will find plenty of parking, valet as well as complimentary lots, ADA compliant.

The history of the Huntington Harbour Bay Club is deeply connected to the history of Huntington Harbour. It has five man-made islands and many navigable channels between them. The harbor’s construction started in 1963 and cost $200 million. It was initially planned to be in residential use: so, you’ll find here over 1,000 waterfront homes, some of them multi-million-dollars ones, private docks, and yachts, all just 10 minutes from the Pacific Ocean. The place is very popular among kayaking, fishing, sailing lovers and beloved for sunset boat cruises.
Surely, such a unique place with water activities and grandiose marina views attracts many tourists as well as the couples wishing to celebrate their best day in this nautical ambiance. The catering and event company 24 Carrots that owns and operates the Huntington Harbour Bay Club helps them make their dreams come true.

Events Areas of Huntington Harbor Bay Club
The Huntington Club is a very fresh and modern venue that includes a two-story main building with giant windows, an outdoor patio area, a private beach with a view of yachts, and a bungalow with a surrounding deck. The venue seats up generally up to 250 guests: up to 100 for an indoor ceremony, 200 for an indoor reception, and up to 250 for an outdoor event.

The Huntington Club will offer you 3 spacious indoor spaces:
The Davenport Ballroom, located on the 1st floor and is connected to the outdoor terrace. From another side, you can expand the space by connecting the Davenport to the Humboldt Ballroom, another space on the lower level featuring original columns. The Trinidad Ballroom is on the 2nd floor, and has a built-in bar with LED TVs, and lighting installation. A staircase will lead you to the Humboldt ballroom on the first floor.
So, you’ll find all three spaces are connected and all provide panoramic views of the marina. Still, if you need more space, use the expansive cobblestone terrace, overlooking a private beach and gazebo. It’s the largest space on the property with impressive harbor views and decor lighting. The Barefoot Bar on the other side in addition to a build-in bar itself includes LED TVs, great for relaxing and cocktails.

And for a beach photo session or a ceremony, you’ll have a white sand beach, exclusively and totally for you and your soulmate.
The setup of the venue is very flexible: you’ll have many options where to celebrate. Some make their ceremony outside on the terrace or organize it on the beach. The bar is a perfect space for your cocktail hour and your dinner can be on the terrace as well as in one of the Huntington Club’s rooms. For dancing, choose the open terrace or any of the rooms, too.

Still, there is another option that you’ll see in the photos below. You can make your bridal preparation, ceremony & reception in different locations. The couple from the photos below combined in their Huntington Bay Club wedding many options, getting prepared at the hotel, making their ceremony in the church, and later enjoying their beachside reception at the Huntington Club.
Dressing areas of the Huntington Bay Club
If you decide to make your bridal preparation at the Huntington Club, you’ll get a large bridal room where is enough space to accommodate all your bridesmaids and place wedding accessories, literally everyone and everything. There is a big full-length mirror in the room, plenty of light, and simple yet nice interior details as a backdrop for your getting-ready shots.

Still, if you want something more than this, choose any of the hotels near the venue as the couple in the photos did. The hotel where they got prepared is the Hotel Maya, located across Queensway Bay in Downtown Long Beach. It’s just a 25-minutes drive from the Huntington Club. This hotel in itself is a nice setting with oceanfront views and tropical gardens around, not to mention that it’s in close vicinity to the church where the couple wanted to exchange vows. So, you’ll find a lot of options in and around the Huntington Bay Club and you only need to choose what you like.
First Look & Couple Shots at the Huntington Bay Club
The couple you’re seeing in the photos didn’t make the First Look because they decided on a traditional church ceremony and planned not to see each other before it. However, the Huntington Harbor Bay Club has great spots for the first moments.
You can make your First Look on the marina right next to the venue. The yachts and blue sky will serve you as a backdrop. Keep in mind that about noon the sun may be quite hard, the light produces harsher shadows, so plan accordingly: for example, we took most of the photos on the marina at sunset.

One of the greatest perks of this venue is the opportunity to make a stunning beachside First Look and later sunset photos of the couple. The beach with all these mature palms around creating a tropical vibe is very romantic and secluded and in the photos, it looks like you and your soulmate are totally alone there.

Wedding Party & Family Photos at the Huntington Bay Club
We had two great opportunities to make group photos: right after the ceremony in front of the St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Long Beach where the couple made the ring ceremony, and during the cocktail hour on the terrace of the Huntington Club, near the bar. Both these options worked well for us and were not time-consuming (which is very important if you take care of your wedding timeline).

If you are ok with your time, you can walk with your wedding party along the beach and snap some fun beach shots. For older relatives, I would recommend taking some pictures right in front of the building before the reception starts so that they will not move far from the main event spot.
Ceremony sites of the Huntington Harbour Bay Club
As I’ve already mentioned, the couple in the photos decided on a traditional ceremony in the church. Still, the Huntington has excellent ceremony options for your tropical-themed wedding. You can make your toes-in-the-sand ceremony here on the beach, that’s one of the reasons why couples choose this venue. The venue will provide you with vineyard chairs and help with seating on the beach and you have only to bring in some decorations like a wedding arch, etc. Intimate ceremonies are also organized on the terrace facing the harbor view. For such cases, the venue even offers micro-wedding packages, 2 hours for ceremony only, in the morning or afternoon.

However, the outdoor space including the beachline and the open terrace with harbor views is really large so that you can accommodate up to 250 guests easily.
Reception sites of the Huntington Harbor Bay Club
Three indoor spaces of the Huntington Club with much light and space feature furnishings & details in relaxing nautical style. The overall interior design is more classic, yet great for harbor-themed weddings: rows of big windows bathe you in the sunlight in the afternoon and make you enjoy the view of boats parked along the bay. It’s a great backdrop for taking beautiful reception pictures. Particularly, the upstairs room has floor-to-ceiling views of the marina. Some couples organize the dinner upstairs because of this incredible view.

However, the overall space is large enough to host all your guests and give you the freedom to be creative: place your wedding cake indoors in front of the window, make your First Dance outside under the stars, invite guests to have dinner in one of the rooms or outside on the terrasse. If you have kids at your wedding, the beach is great as a kid’s play area. And surely, one of the highlights of these multiple locations is a bungalow with a deck where guests firstly can enjoy their cocktails and later take incredible pictures on top of the water.
Advantages of the Huntington Harbour Bay Club
The Huntington Bay Club with its beach and access to the Huntington Harbour is really a rare find among other South Californian venues. It features both spacious indoor and outdoor spaces, a private white sand beach with mature palm trees, and fascinating marina views: a perfect combo for a wedding with a Hawaiian flavor.
The venue’s packages are very flexible: you can choose ceremony only, reception only options, or book the entire venue exclusively for you. So, you’ll find the price range right for you.

You’ll get tons of options to choose from. Most couples use the venue’s bridal suite for getting ready, beach for the ceremony, deck for the cocktail hour, terrace for the dinner, and indoor spaces for dancing: there are lots of options. At the venue, you can make your ceremony or reception only, and choose other locations nearby. All the major attractions of Huntington Harbour and Long Beach are here close to each other.
The 24 Carrots company and the Huntington Bay Club team are very responsive by offering the all-inclusive event or the customizations you need. They will go with you through every step of your event.

At the Huntigton, little decor is actually needed. Just bring in some bright flowers for accents and green basics to elevate the look and your venue is already stunning.
So, if you’re dreaming about a beachside wedding in the LA area, great and affordable at the same time, the Huntington Bay Club will exceed your expectations.
